06.26.17: Dodgers vs. Angels

The Dodgers seemed to finally down a but last night. Hot streaks have to cool sometime.

06.25.17; Dodgers vs. Rockies

This game featured a bit of erratic pitching by both starters. It was looking grim for the Dodgers as McCarthy got wild, then Anderson followed suit and it was working out okay. Not sure what happened after the 4th inning. I have a short attention span.

06.22.17; Dodgers vs. Mets

I think I did a better job tonight recording an instance where the batter at the end of an inning hits into a situation where the third out is recorded via put out.

For example, at the bottom of the second inning, Ryu hit a bouncer to the shortstop, who fed the ball to the third baseman. Puig was therefore forced out as he advanced from first.

06.21.17; Dodgers vs. Mets

My scorecard got all wonky during the third inning. With two outs and runners on first and second, Taylor hit a grounder to the third baseman, who stepped on the bag to tag out Puig. My confusion arose with how to record Taylor's a bat. I think "L5" is incorrect. I think "PO5" may be clearer, as in "Taylor hit into a putout situation on third base." I'm just not sure.

06.20.17; Dodgers vs. Mets

Cody Bellinger is out of control. he is the first rookie in MLB history to have 10 HR in 10 games.

06.20.17; Padres vs. Cubs

I wanted to see what my old hometown team was up to.

06.19.17; Dodgers vs. Mets

Wow. What a first inning! And check out the cluster of homers between Turner and Bellinger. Very nice.

06.18.17; Dodgers vs. Reds

As far as pitcher vs. pitcher duels go, it didn't work out so well for Arroyo in the second inning. Maeda's 2 RBI double was pretty sweet.

06.16.17; Dodgers vs. Reds

Fun game - what I could see of it, at least. There are a few issues with my scorecard I'd like to clarify.

In the first inning, Utley's out should be recorded as 3-1, as the first baseman fed the ball to the pitcher who recorded the out.

In the third inning, I am not sure if Taylor was credited with a base hit or a double. I took the announcers' suggestion that it was a double.

In the fourth inning, Grandal was out on a great catch by the shortstop, who ran well past the third baseline to make the play. I put a star on my card to note it.
